A Tribute to Alison Lady Cham Champagnie: A Corner Stone in the Reggae Community R.I.P

The Hampton Roads and Virginia Reggae Community has lost one of it’s own. Alison Lady Cham Champagnie has passed away from this life..

We will always remember her contributions to our small but strong community. Lady Cham was the editor of West Indian Times magazine, which kept us inform with news from the caribbean and covered local entertainment. Who can forget the “Dear Lady Cham” Column? Most of us might remember her with her camera and crew snapping photos, at many different local events. We also remember her years as host of The Caribbean Connection on 91.1 fm each Sunday.

Ras ShilohReggae music has touched the souls of many people all over the world, in a most positive way. In a way that constructively molds our thinking, our ways of doing things, our relationships and our beings.

Ras Shiloh is an artist who for 15+ years has been creating “King Rastafari’s Music” with positive influence, which educates, inspires and uplifts the people.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ras Shiloh’s style of delivering fiyah and truth via song could easily remind one of the great Garnett Silk.

On May 25th, 2014 in Hampton, VA, Ras Shiloh will bless up Mill Point Park at the Virginia Reggae Fest, singing tunes like “Are You Satisfied”, “Travel Lite” and “Slavery” just to name a few.

We have a vision. That vision is to see the Virginia Reggae Massive standing before the outdoor stage at Mill Point, listening to Ras Shiloh (backed by StableRoots) and moving to some of the best foundation roots music of our time. InI hope to see YOU in that number.
